Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had someone at our side who could tell us which horses were going to win their races and those that would lose? There are many tipsters who claim they can do just that but how realistic are those claims?

Tipsters come in all shapes and sizes as do the cost of their services. You can search the newspapers and Internet and find plenty of free tips or alternatively you can pay hundreds of pounds for information. The trouble is price is not always a good guide to the quality of information that you receive.

Currently Pricewise in the Racing Post and Hugh Taylor of At Te Races both have very good records and any of their selections should be considered seriously. Generally newspaper tipsters have a poor record possibly because they have to come up with selections for each race…
