Horse Racing Systems
Even those who are brand new to horse racing can get their hands on horse racing systems. Just type in the phrase in Google or eBay and you will find hundreds if not thousands on offer. Of course the skill is in being able to pick out the viable and genuine from the piles of worthless rubbish that are on the market.
Unless you are very experienced in the field of horse racing systems it would be advisable to seek the advice of a good mentor. When I first began looking for reliable horse racing systems. I was very lucky in meeting Darren Power of the Betting School. Darren runs the online school which not only prints an excellent monthly newsletter but also reviews most of the major systems on the market. Another good source of information and advice is the betting school forum.
There are also other good advisory sites on the Internet but with any advisory service it is always a case of “Buyer beware”. . However, even if you have taken all the advice available you should never just buy a horse racing system and start betting with it straight away. You should start with a dry run without actually placing real bets. This gives you a chance to see how good the system really is without risking your cash. The question of how long you should test a system for is open to discussion.

I personally recommend a 3 month test although there are others who believe a month is long enough and others who recommend a full twelve months of testing. I can see some merit in testing for 12 months as every system will have good and bad phases. Short term results, whether good or bad is no true indication of how good a system really is. If a system makes a profit over a 12 month period then it is a good system if it doesn’t then you should ditch it.
Often you will see systems advertised claiming all kinds of phenomenal results but unless you can get some independent confirmation treat these with suspicion. Rely only on your own test results on the system.
Once you have found a good system that you are happy with then it is time to start looking for a second and then a third system.
The reason for this is simple, no matter how good your system is there will be days and perhaps weeks or months when it will not produce a profit. If you have 3 or 4 proved systems the poor performance of one will be cancel out by the better performances of the others.
Your aim should be to make a regular and steady income from your betting activities. By running a small portfolio of horse racing systems you are more likely to achieve this goal.
